Above-ground pools have their own limits
Above-ground pools usually have a flat floor and vinyl walls. A floor-only robot is often enough, which is why the cheapest robots here (the Aiper Scuba SE and the Dolphin E10) are floor-only.
Check the maker's pool-type listing before buying: several robots, including the Polaris 9550 Sport and Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max, are listed for in-ground pools only. Beatbot lists all its current robots for both.
