Waterline vs surface
The waterline is the band on the wall where oil and scum collect at water level; a robot cleans it by climbing and scrubbing along it. The surface is the water itself: skimming robots float and collect leaves, pollen and insects before they sink. Only three current robots here skim the surface: the Beatbot Sora 70, the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra and the Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max.
